This is a composite panorama of the bedroom, living and dining areas of my yurt.
I am not a graphic artist so the seams are a little rough but at least it gives
you some idea how the yurt looks inside.

See the legend to the left to get a feel for the amount of floor area involved.

Bob Edwards took the first three pictures on this row the day he wrote the story about my yurt. A little has changed since spring: I painted my front door, installed insulated screen windows in the front and back doors, and added the clothesline.

Inside things may look the same, but the ceiling is now insulated, the air-tight wood stove is installed and my shower is almost done.

This is my new air-tight wood stove. I love it and it sure makes the yurt extra cozy.

Danny gave me these fence posts so I could better define my corners. Today I made the trellis from old pipe and two different kinds of fence. In front of the trellis I planted three morning glories.

Danny gave me some rough fence posts which I stacked in the front corners of the yard to give it a sense of defined space. the lilies are growing (so is the grass).

My friend Mitch gave me this azalea last year. It is indeed beautiful. Thanks Mitch!

March 25, 2007 My older brother Paul and my friend Trilce came down today and helped me put the 2nd layer of insulation and the outside cover on the river side of the yurt.

At least once a week someone asks if I have a bathroom, here it is. I love the tub!

I built a trellis for the raspberries I brought from Danny's farm last year. You can't see it, but I transplanted a second row using the vines that had layered over the winter.

Billie found me this cool organizer. With it I can eliminate two more pieces of furniture. More wide open space. Yeah!

November 25, 2006 Paul and Natalie came up earlier this week and helped me put on the new side cover Billie and I sewed the previous week. This side now has three layers of bubble wrap and the green tarpaulin. This side is completely done except for the windows.

The woodstove keeps the house toasty but because it isn't airtight it burns out after about 2 hours. I've almost saved enough to buy a airtight stove.

The entryway wall needs painted. Off-white it will be. Maybe a mirror or stenciled vines will finish it off.

February 6, 2006 Two layers of insulation are on the short side and one layer is on the long side. The underpinning is progressing and the batteries really need to go into a box.

October 19, 2005 This is what the yurt looked like on 10-19-2005. The plastic side cover was supposed to be temporary. Note the solar panels are on a sled type contraption. I created this to allow me to move them around during construction and so I could find the optimum year-round location before permanently mounting them.
